Partnership with
Kentucky River Field School
What is the Kentucky River Field School?
Kentucky River Field School (KRFS) offers a residential gap year program for high school graduates interested in environmental science and considering diverse educational and career paths.
KRFS stewards a 4.5 acre historic homestead/farm-to-table cafe (Boonesboro Campus) and a nearby 110 acre nature reserve/farm along the Kentucky river (River Farm Campus). Our partnership provides a diversity of opportunities for exploration and experiential learning for our students that would be difficult to achieve otherwise. Below are only a few examples of activities from this past year, not including chemistry and biology labs and much much more.
Building a bridge
Pickling Vegetables
Mushroom Log Innoculation
Cricket Farming
